Imo State Begins Payment Of Pensioners

As promised by the Government of Imo State led by His Excellency, Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha, payment of pensioners in the State has commenced and Ezinihitte Mbaise has taken the lead in delivering the promise of the governor to his people.

Dr. Ifeanyi Nwachukwu as the SDC Chairman of his ward was directed by the governor to Okpofe/Ezegbogu ward in Ezinihitte Mbaise to lead the supervision and distribution of pensioners cheques who received their pensions with a heart filled with joy.

  

All pensioners were earlier on directed to converge at their various wards in their respective LGAs, for identification and collection of their pensions.

The pensioners who properly coordinated themselves until the end of the session were grateful to God and the Imo state governor for keeping to his promise while stating how happy they would be to see the successful process repeat itself in coming months. Dr. Nguma Festus who was one of the pensioners who received his cheque said, "God bless the Governor of Imo state for looking into the pension matter and as he has not forgotten us, he will never be forgotten by the world as a great man. Imo state is better under Rochas than what it used to be".
Chief C. I Nwachukwu upon receiving his cheque said, "This process is really the best. There was no stress and I have my cheque with me. We didn't need to stand under the sun or anything. Owelle is a blessing to Imo state".

We will recall that the Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha recently approved N1.2billion for payment of Imo pensioners. Accordingly, payments for the month of August 2016 begins this week in the 27 LGAs of the state.
